How To Make DIY Spa Bath Salts With Essential Oils!

Updated: Feb 4, 2019

It may not happen very often BUT when I get the chance I absolutely love laying back in a nice hot bath and just enjoying a good soak! Baths can be a great time to relax and unwind from a crazy day (or life..). They can also be very beneficial for the body as they can help sore muscles to relax and heal plus helping the body to detox (among other things!) Especially as a mom I really try to make the most of the little time I get to relax! So here are a few of my tips to help make the experience even better.

1. Aromatherapy! Lighting a relaxing natural candle or diffusing essential oils can help you forget that you cleaned your kids piss out of your carpet every day (twice) for the last week straight! (Who knew potty training was such a bitch?!)

2. Relaxing Music! If your anything like me a lot of your day consists of whining, crying, screaming, and just enough laughter & kisses to make it all worth it! So even if just for 15 minutes I really want you to enjoy whatever music makes you happy before returning to the (mostly) chaos that is life!

3. Last and probably most important is a good bath salt mix with some of your favorite essential oils! I love lavender EO as it helps calm my nerves after yelling at my daughter for the thousandth time not to take off her diaper....But hey whatever oils work for you!! Just be careful to avoid "hot" oils or use them sparingly as they can cause skin sensitivity.
