I’ve been seeing these everywhere recently and they seem so fun so I just had to make my own DIY version! My daughter and I both have been loving them! Just massage into damp skin to moisturizer and rub away any dead skin 💖 I made two different versions so hopefully there is a little something everyone will enjoy 💕
Peppermint Candy Cane Edition
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base.
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil.
2 Tbs Shea Butter.
1/4 Tsp Red Strawberry from Stardust Micas for color (optional).
7-10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil.
1 Cup Sugar.
Crushed Candy Cane.
Directions:
1. Melt the first three ingredients together (tips below).
2. Once the mix is fully melted stir in the mica and peppermint oil.
3. Stir in the sugar (make sure the liquid isn’t to hot or the sugar will just melt).
4. Press the mixture into the mold of your choice (I prefer silicone) You can also add crushed peppermint to the mold first to give it a festive fun look.
Lavender Dreams Edition
Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Goats Milk Melt & Pour Soap Base.
1/4 Cup Coconut Oil.
2 Tbs Shea Butter.
1/4 Tsp Violet Petal from Stardust Micas for color (optional).
7-10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil.
1 Cup Sugar.
Dried lavender flowers.
Directions:
1. Melt the first three ingredients together (tips below).
2. Once the mix is fully melted stir in the mica and lavender oil.
3. Stir in the sugar (make sure the liquid isn’t to hot or the sugar will just melt).
4. Press the mixture into the mold of your choice (I prefer silicone) You can also add dried lavender to the mold first to give it a beautiful look.
Notes 📝
Can be stored in the shower. Just make sure not to leave it directly sitting in water or they will melt away.
Tips for melting...
I prefer to use a small slow cooker on high heat with 2(ish) Inches of hot water. Just add the ingredients to a glass jar and sit the jar in the hot water. I find it’s the most convenient for me. That being said do whatever works best for you! A double broiler would work also.
I filmed an exclusive DIY recipe video for Rise ‘N Shines Facebook group. If you want to see step by step how I made this recipe just join the group and search for “DIY Sugar Scrub Bars” 👇🏻

I want to say a huge thanks to Stardust Micas for sending the mica pigments to me!!! 💖💖💖 They make wonderful pigments so if you need anything at all go check them out! I used the colors Red Strawberry & Violet Petal to create these.
